Therefore, it is essential for educators to utilize digital literacy in English language learning in this digital era.

MTs Negeri 9 Jember, as one of the educational institutions in Jember, needs to recognize the importance of digital literacy in English language learning. As an institution that aims to produce young generations with intelligence, skills, and empowerment to face future challenges, MTs Negeri 9 Jember needs to update its teaching methods by integrating digital technology in English language learning.

In English language learning, digital literacy can provide numerous benefits, such as improving communication skills, opening access to online learning resources, and increasing students' interest in learning English. Therefore, research on the role of digital literacy in English language learning in the digital era needs to be conducted in MTs Negeri 9 Jember.

In this research, an analysis will be conducted on the extent of the role of digital literacy in English language learning in MTs Negeri 9 Jember. Here is a result for "The Role of Digital Literacy in English Language Learning in the Digital Era at MTs Negeri 9 Jember."

Introduction
The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of digital literacy in English language learning at MTs Negeri 9 Jember. The study aimed to explore the current use of digital tools and resources in language learning and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing students' language learning experience. The study also identified the challenges associated with the use of digital tools in language learning and provided recommendations to address these challenges.

Results
Phase 1: Survey
The survey was distributed to 50 students and 10 teachers at MTs Negeri 9 Jember. The results showed that the majority of students and teachers had basic digital literacy skills. However, the use of digital tools and resources in English language learning varied. Most teachers used digital tools such as online dictionaries, grammar checkers, and language learning websites. Some teachers also used digital storytelling and video-making tools to enhance students' language learning experience. On the other hand, most students used social media and messaging apps in English to communicate with their friends but did not use these tools for language learning purposes.

Phase 2: Interviews
The interviews were conducted with 10 students, 5 teachers, and 2 school administrators. The interviews revealed that the main challenge associated with the use of digital tools in English language learning was the lack of access to technology and internet connectivity. The teachers also expressed concerns about the quality of online resources available for language learning and the need for training to effectively use these resources in their teaching. Additionally, the students reported feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information available online and struggled to differentiate between reliable and unreliable sources.

Recommendations
Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations are proposed to enhance the role of digital literacy in English language learning at MTs Negeri 9 Jember:

  1. Improve access to technology and internet connectivity for students and teachers.
  2. Provide training for teachers to effectively use digital tools and resources in language learning.
  3. Develop and curate high-quality online resources for language learning.
  4. Educate students on how to evaluate the reliability of online sources.
  5. Encourage students to use digital tools and resources for language learning purposes.

Conclusion
In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of digital literacy in English language learning in the digital era. The study identified the current use of digital tools and resources in language learning, evaluated their effectiveness, and identified the challenges associated with their use. The study provided recommendations to address these challenges and enhance students' language learning experience. By implementing these recommendations, MTs Negeri 9 Jember can improve the quality of English language learning and prepare students for success in the digital age.
